Utility Management Experience

· Contract compliance and management of relationships for utility generation and transmission facilities.

· Develop and implement procedures for technical and financial systems necessary for effective managing projects and facilities.

· Coordinate the day-to-day interaction with management, owners, operators, generation dispatch, transmission interconnection and overall optimization of financial operations.

· Expertise in gas/oil-fired combustion turbine peaking units, base-load coal-fired and nuclear steam turbine generation, along with transmission and ancillary support systems.

Implemented a Combustion Turbine Initiative for a fleet of over 30 combustion turbines. Combustion turbines (CTs) are critical for meeting system demand by providing peaking capacity, spinning reserves and system support regulation. The CT Initiative included:

· Improve unit availability and starting reliabilities to over 90%;

· Increase peak capacities by more than 10% and support for generating rates three times mid-1990 levels; and

· Preventative maintenance to proactively identify potential problems and develop cost effective corrective actions.

· Fuel use strategies;

· Alternate fuel use programs;

· Environmental compliance plans;

· NSR/PSD environmental permit analysis;

· Allowance trading/unit averaging agreements; Generation/transmission interconnect; and
